Say What Now?

I would say that I am at a lost for words when it comes to the foolery of today's society , but I would be lying. Major retailer, Walmart, is in hot water for the racist description of one of their online products. The product is a net weaving wig cap with the color description of nigger-brown. For those who don't know what this is: it's a base for sewing or gluing hair extensions on, to make a wig. Mind you, a cap like this can be purchased at your local beauty supply for $5 or less but lets add insult to injury and charge you a little more and insult your ass in the process. The seller of this product knows that it is catered primarily to black/African American women. Did you really think that they would

really be so enthralled to order a wig cap that they would miss the description? Stop the games. Walmart issued this statement :

“We are very sorry and appalled that this third party seller listed their item with this description on our online marketplace. It is a clear violation of our policy, and has been removed, and we are investigating the seller to determine how this could have happened.”

So, you mean to tell me that as big of a corporation, as Walmart, they aren't monitoring the listings of their third party sellers? Bullshit! Someone on the inside either let this slip by purposely or described the product themselves. Either way, you've been put on notice, Walmart. Many a good black folk have spent top dollars in your establishment, so I think it's time for you to do your best "shuckin & jivin" and clean this shit up! And to think, after all that money we spent on them damn Patti Pies, you played us over a damn wig cap. We have got to be more cognizant of how we're being viewed by the people we support.
