Easy - Demetria Mckinney

"I ain't no stuck up chick, I ain't picky, I just want what's best for me....." I love this song for so many different reasons. Demetria McKinney started out as an actress and is best known for her role as Janine on Tyler Perry's House of Payne, but her acting career spans way back to 2004. I've asked several people their interpretation of this song and the number one thing that they took away from it was that love isn't easy. Hell that's obvious but I doubt that was the meaning behind it all. Now, me, being a true artist at heart and hopeless romantic, I dissected the lyrics to be a woman singing about her self worth. If you can see what you really have in front of you then you can appreciate me and not misappropriate my character and play with my time. Most people who know their worth are oftentimes viewed as picky or conceited. I'm in love with the lyrics. Now the video, on the other hand, that's a whole other story. They dropped the ball on the creative vision and the budget. It bothers my spirit when a video doesn't match the song at all. And with her being an actress, they could've really taken it to the next level. But anyhow, get into this song and tell me what you think.
