Thick of It - Mary J Blige

Mary's back, and in true Mary fashion. This is what we have been missing from her. Noone likes to see a person in pain, but Mary delivers some of her best work when she incorporates some of her life into her songs. On the heels of a rocky divorce from her soon to be husband, Kendu Isaacs, her song shows vulnerability of a woman who not only wanted to hold on to her relationship but also knows that on the other hand it's not working out. Her album titled The Strength of a Woman will released before the end of the year. Recently in a press release Mary stated:

"This song is so personal it's almost painful to let it out. I don't hold back though, it's not who I am and there's no way I am going to start changing now. We all deal with love and the emotions that we get tangled up in, and we gotta survive, grow and remain honest to our best selves," she says. "I feel that with this song and it's the first one off this album I've been immersing myself in for 2 years now. Music just saves me no matter what in life is happening."
