Iyanla: Fix My Broken Family
A picture is worth a thousand words. If you hadn't tuned in yet, you all should get on board with Iyanla and the lives that she's trying to fix. This past Saturday she met up with the Henry family in Atlanta. Dwight and Thelisa are a married couple with 2 nearly grown daughters. Dwight who used to be a former deacon and pastor is a serial cheater and has had several extramarital affairs on his wife, one of which resulted in him having an outside child with one of the women. You can clearly see in the picture that Dwight is not even interested in what Iyanla is about to say. Now what I'm not understanding is why in hell would this grown ass man, sign up to bring his family on a television show to fix their life, but then get an attitude with the person who's there to help. The wife, Thelisa, has mentally shutdown in her relationship. She admits that her husband is indeed drunk and high on cocaine, as they spoke. Chile, when I tell yall that this is the show to watch. The session didn't even get started because Dwight wanted to pop off and get aggressive with Iyanla. She made him leave and told him to come back tomorrow. What did his ass do? He left and came back the same day. He was again acting aggressive and at one point, starting walking up on Iyanla. This is when he got surprised, cause her son, who also works with production, came from behind the camera and got in his face and said that this is not what he wanted. As usual he backed down because it was much easier for him to get in a woman's face but not buck up to another man. Many of us will tune in for the drama of the situation but the truth of the matter is that we all have some of these very issues going on in our own personal life. It may not be as extreme as theirs but we have them. Iyanla gives some valid advice and it make you think about your own life and start to put some things in perspective. Don't sleep on this show. Quiet as it's kept some of y'all need to watch for the advice alone. Check out the show for yourself. It airs on Saturdays at 9/8c on OWN network.
