Never Underestimate The Opponent

One would wonder, why I would say never underestimate the opponent under the topic of dating. But until you truly get to know the intentions of the person, that you are talking to, they should be viewed as the opponent. Being an opponent doesn't necessarily mean that they are against you. On one hand, it means that you both have a common interest; in each other, that is. But on the other hand, what will the person do to win? And in winning, what is their intended prize? Do they want the total package or do they just want a portion of the package?
