Recently, I had the pleasure of interviewing the founder of World Peace Sign, Mr. Leo J. Leo is a man on a positive mission. His World Peace Sign Brand is one of significant importance, especially In the wake of all of the racial tension and occurrences that are taking place in our society today. Take a few minutes to get familiar with World Peace Sign and all that it encompasses.
Can you please introduce yourself and give a brief explanation of your brand. When was it founded and what is the importance of it?
My names is Leo J . I created the World Peace Sign in an effort to inspire and encourage saving the planet with visually appealing and thought provoking merchandise bearing the official symbol for World Peace. It was founded in 2009 and what was important to me in addition to doing a good thing was to introduce the evolution of peace into a brand that would be an encouraging symbol. It would also be the official symbol for World Peace, because until now there was none; only the Peace Sign that people were mistakenly calling the World Peace Sign.
Are there any causes that your brand stand for?
My brand stands for all causes. However social media is calling it the world's mascot... There is no one particular cause at the moment because the issue of World Peace is so huge. In the near future, I'd like to see future developments and partnerships centered around anti-bullying initiatives as well as educational apps and licensing opportunity with major clothing brands.
You have a unique logo and brand character. How did you come up with the look for your brand?
I have always been a supporter of Gerald Holtom's Peace Sign, DC Comics and Marvel so when the time came for me to upgrade the old Peace Sign into the World Peace Sign and give it its very own representative Capt. World Peace it was pretty easy.
What type of products do you carry, that represent World Peace Sign brand, and where can we find them?
World Peace Sign is primarily doing business as a tshirt vendor. I believe tshirts are the worlds best way to get my brand noticed, so I walk tall and wear a loud tshirt... There will be more products to come such as accessories , caps and footwear. Maybe even a whole World Peace Sign store like Disney! What more can we expect from World Peace Sign?
Well, you can expect to see partnerships, licensing opportunities, endorsements deals, World Peace Sign concerts and an annual event called World Peace Sign Day celebrating freedom and unity in the struggle against violence, terrorism and hate worldwide. This is held on April 30th (4/30).
